Biography Overview
Niraj Kumar Singh is an education and international development professional with over fifteen years of experience across nonprofit, academic, and social development sectors, including work in more than 12 countries. His professional focus spans education leadership, youth development, learning design, and equity, with experience across Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America. Prior to relocating to the United States, he worked extensively across South Asia, contributing to regional and community-based development initiatives.
Over his career, Niraj has designed and led 100+ education and development initiatives in collaboration with UN agencies, government institutions, and nonprofit organizations. He has supported over 2,000 high school students, mentored more than 3,000 undergraduate and graduate learners, and reached 10,000 adolescents and youth through equity-focused education and leadership programs. He brings strong operational leadership, including coordination of large, multi-level teams and management of programs involving over 1,000 staff, field personnel, and volunteers.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, he played a leadership role in the USAID-funded MRITE project, supporting vaccination efforts that reached over 2.5 million individuals in underserved rural communities in India.
